At the latest Düsseldorf Bank Forum, bankers and Roland Berger Partners discussed trust models and their challenges It's about to become a regional institution: the "Bank Forum North-Rhine Westphalia (NRW)". For the second time this year and for the sixth time in all, the Düsseldorf partner team of the Corporate Performance CC had invited local and regional workout bankers from all over NRW (Germany's largest state population-wise) to our Düsseldorf office. The format, which usually consists of a short speech by one of our partners followed by a panel discussion with external experts, has proven to be very successful. Trust models – a challenge for lenders and consultants The topic of the October 29 event was "Trust models – Current challenge for lenders and consultants", introduced by Partner Nils von Kuhlwein. Among the approximately 40 guests was key note speaker Alfred Hagebusch, a very well known lawyer and insolvency administrator of Wellensiek & Partners, one of Germany's most highly regarded law firms. Besides giving his views on the topic of the day, Mr. Hagebusch also spoke briefly about the trusteeship of Opel, which he is heading as Managing Director. The intense discussion ended in the Cafeteria of our Düsseldorf office with a buffet dinner and drinks – long after any bank counter had closed. |
